The adventures of these children through the underground world, while being chased by the Fratellis, are fascinating to watch. A timeless classic, Characters in the film, especially the children, are brilliantly developed and entertaining.

The story is about Mowgli, a child raised by wolves in an Indian jungle and his best friends are Bagheera the panther and Baloo the Bear. When they fear, Mowgli is in danger especially with Sher Khan the tiger; they decide to move him to the nearby village. What follows is struggles to get accustomed to the “human culture” and his eventual winning over Sher Khan. Beautifully crafted animation, with attention to every minute detail. Especially the way all the different animals move to the jungle backgrounds. A great fun filled family adventure movie for everyone to enjoy.
7. Frozen (2013)

Again a Disney animated movie, it’s directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. Highest grossing film of 2013, a massive commercial success. The story is about Elsa, the queen, and her sister, Anna. Elsa accidentally turns things into the ice to curse her home in eternal winter, Anna, teams up with the help of her friends change the weather condition back to normal. A fairy tale that won the Oscars not to mention the songs that progress with the movie and an essential part of it. The story centers more on the family relationship and has a great message. Highly recommended family movie especially for the Disney fan.
6. E.T. The Extraterrestrial (1982)

Directed by Steven Spielberg, E.T is a science fiction movie. The story of Elliott, a lonely boy who befriends an alien “E.T.”, who is left out on Earth. Elliot and his friends help the E.T to return home while keeping it hidden from their mother and the authorities. The famous scene in which Eliot and E.T. fly to the sky by bicycle is very wonderfully crafted. Highest grossing film of all time in 1982, and the title it held for more than a decade, even secured a place in must watch 100 movies of the 20th Century. A brilliant film, very touching movie about the bonding between Elliot and E.T, a complete family entertainer movie.
5. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

A musical fantacy animated film based on a German fairy tale by Brothers Grimm and produced by Walt Disney Productions. The story is about Snow White, the prettiest princess in the world. She is made to flee her kingdom because of the fear of the Evil Queen and reaches a cottage of dwarfs in the jungle. First ever animated movie ever made, must watch movie for the whole family. It’s a masterful story telling of a fairy tale with memorable characters, and about the good winning over the evil. One of the best features of the film is the musical score that Frank Churchill and Larry Morey wrote.

4. Alice in Wonderland (1951)

Based on the works of Lewis Carrol produced by Walt Disney Productions. The film is very much ahead of its time and regarded as one of the greatest animated classics which is the best film adaptation of Alice. The story is about Alice to finding a way to escape from the real-world and reaches a crazy fantasy world and eventually going back to reality. The character development and animations are exceptionally beautiful, ahead of its time. Especially the musical score, with each character having their theme music, and all the songs throughout are enjoyable and fantastic. Alice in Wonderland is an exquisite work of art and literature and a must watch family movie as well.
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011)

It’s a fantasy film directed by David Yates, based on the novel by J.K. Rowling. The story continues the quest of Harry Potter finding and destroying Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes. None of the movie about kids will not be complete with a Harry Potter movie, and we chose the final but the best on in the series. This movie received high praises for all the aspects and became one of the highest-grossing films in 2011. The movie received multiple Academy Award nominations and won many accolades worldwide. Powerfull performance from all the actors, thrilling and visually amazing this final edition of the series is truly magical.
2. Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Written and directed by George Seaton, based on a story by Valentine Davies. Multiple Academy Award recipient and selected for preservation in US National Film Registry due to its historical and cultural significance. It’s about Susan, a six-year-old child, and Kris, the real Santa (?). This movie stresses the faith and wisdom of small children and its message is that children are perhaps wiser than we usually think. Its an excellent family movie, especially the relationship between Susan and her mother, a curt-room drama and one with social message as well. A masterpiece in its terms, must watch movie for the whole family.
1. The Wizard of Oz (1939)

All time favorite movie, directed by Victor Fleming based on the novel by L. Frank Baum. A musical fantasy movie telling the story of Dorothy, as an adolescent orphan. The story is about Dorothy reaching a fantasy land because of a tornado and her quest to find the Wizard to reach her way back home. Thoroughly enjoyable family movie, everything about the film have some magic associated with it. The music, those flying monkeys, talking lion, ruby slippers, the forest, the witch’s castle, and even the farm and everything else adds a special kind of magic to the screen. The atmosphere and the feel of the movie are truly magnificent.
